Ingredients (3)

  • 4 large granny smith apples
  • 1 lemon, rind finely grated, juiced
  • 1 1/2 tbsp caster sugar

Method

  • Step 1 Peel, core and chop apples4 large granny smith apples. Combine apple, 2 tablespoons lemon juice and 2 tablespoons cold water in a saucepan.
  • Step 2 Bring to the boil over medium-high heat. Reduce heat to medium. Cover and cook for 12 to 15 minutes or until apples soften. Stir in lemon rind and sugar1 1/2 tbsp caster sugar. Allow to cool slightly.
  • Step 3 Transfer mixture to a food processor and puree until smooth. Serve warm or cold.
